About
About
I’m Nicky – a Channel Islander by origin, a critical thinker by instinct.
I believe that the edge is where we grow. Something about being in an outpost, perhaps, brought out the outlier. Maybe that’s why I’ve always been drawn to the edges of ideas — to the places where nuance lives, where reflection sparks change, and where you’re more likely to find the right question than a ready-made answer.
That’s the spirit I bring to coaching. Quietly disruptive. Deeply reflective. Devoted to insight, not instruction.
I used to work in human rights and lived for a decade overseas – Russia, Czech Republic, Japan and Italy amongst other places. Working with Roma NGOs, I worked frequently in Romania and ran training and study visits to Ukraine. I secured funding for multi-partner, multi-country, multi-year democracy building projects.
I’m an ICF PCC (Professional Certified Coach) with over 17 years’ coaching experience across the private, public and humanitarian sectors.
I’m a Mentor Coach.
I’m DISC-certified.
I’m trained in Time to Think.
I’m trained in Positive Intelligence.
I’ve used Appreciative Inquiry in my research, and Assets-Based Development in community projects.
I work with intrapreneurs, new hires, senior leaders, and MD founders – including solo and serial entrepreneurs – on leadership, career, and wellbeing.
Recent publications on coaching and journaling include features in Coaching Perspectives, StartUps Magazine, Enterprise Nation, Small Business Research + Enterprise Centre, BAPAM, Collinsdebden and more. My MA research was awarded a distinction for its original methodology, and I’ve received awards for Innovation in course design and delivery and for being an Inspiring Trainer.
In 2024, I was a panelist presenter at the Photography in Coaching Symposium and selected for Create South East’s Business Growth programme.
Welcome to these thinking places. Pull up a chair, find your edge — and unlock better answers.
